I am looking for a Stores Person to work for a small manufacturer of electronic components in central Rotherham.
The Stores Person role is extremely important in managing the essential stores function. Your primary responsibility will be to support the warehouse ensuring the operatives have access to the correct components at all times. Booking items in and out of the stores, ensuring a full and correct inventory and regular audit.
Experience and knowledge of electronics and manufacturing would be an advantage. This role may suit someone who has experience of working with automotive parts or with pharmaceutical items.
The ideal candidate will have a meticulous attention to detail. Be able to work accurately. Have a good level of academic attainment. Minimum of GCSE grade C in Maths. The ability to learn quickly.
Duties include:
Processing goods in and goods out.
Ensuring items can be found and retrieved easily.
Picking and packing items ready for despatch or operative collection.
Maintenance of stock levels through re-ordering where necessary.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the stores function.
Accurately maintain the company stock control database.
Responsibility for general housekeeping.
Ensuring traceability of components.
Responsible for managing and reporting of hazards
Maintain high levels of health & safety.
