Job title:              Apprentice Financial Business Admin Assistant £2.68ph

This is an apprenticeship opportunity for 12 months.  Expected wage per week is £80.40 – £100.50pw

Location:             Bawtry

Company:           The company you would be working for are a Financial Services Practise made up of a number of Financial Advisers some of whom have chosen to specialise and practice in various areas. They are based in the Historic Market Town of Bawtry, near Doncaster and have clients all over the UK. 

Progression:      This is a fantastic apprenticeship opportunity as could potential lead to a full time paid role for the right candidate.

Job details:        A Business Admin Assistant supports the smooth day to day running of the office. Their tasks include: dealing with incoming and outgoing post, maintaining stationery supplies, answering the telephone and directing calls, reception duties such as greeting and looking after visitors, typing and formatting documents such as letters and reports, updating computer databases, filing and using office equipment such as printers, photocopiers and fax machines, managing diaries, making travel arrangements for staff.

The purpose of a Business Admin Assistant: As Business Admin Assistant, you would be making sure that day-to-day office tasks run smoothly. You would provide direct admin support to the whole team and Management.

Role responsibilities

  • To be based in the main area and provide administration support to the whole team

  • Making and receiving telephone calls.

  • To deal with all customer contact effectively, and courteously.

  • Processing telephone calls and ensuring appropriate action is taken.

  • Operate standard office equipment, e.g. fax/franking machine/printers photocopiers

  • Distribution of mail, processing incoming/outgoing post/deliveries

  • Ensure that face to face enquiries (Visitors and staff) are dealt with appropriately.

  • To undertake word processing of documentation (letters, reports, memos etc.) including collation for documentation packs as required.

  • File documentation, in accordance with file location.

  • To carry out such other administrative tasks and duties as required by the line manager appropriate to the post.

  • To keep computer databases/systems up to date

  • To follow Health & Safety Procedures.
